Application Procedure

JAM 2017 Qualified candidates can apply for Admission by logging into http://joaps.iitd.ac.in using the enrollment ID and password. Depending on the number of papers you have qualified (one or two), the corresponding information would be displayed for the papers qualified, you can start applying for admission by choosing "Apply for Admission".

Download Information Brochure and read carefully about the number of seats against each programme. Prepare the list of programmes and create a choice list.

Keep ready the following documents before you start.

A.Mandatory Documents for all:

1. Xth Certificate
2. XII Marksheet
3. Qualifying degree: If you have completed the degree: Marksheets of all semesters/ years.

If you are in the final year, Marksheets till the last semester/ year is sufficient. But your admission is only Provisional.

B. Nationality Certificate for General Category:

Birth Certificate or Voter ID or First page of Passport or School/ College Transfer Certificate (TC) showing Nationality or Nationality Certificate issued by the authorized government agency.

Please note that any other documents viz. Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Driving License, College/ Institute/ School ID, Bank Passbook, PAN card, Marksheets are not accepted as Nationality Certificate.

C. Other Documents:

1. Valid Category Certificate for OBC(NCL), SC, ST Applicants
2. Valid PwD Certificate for PwD Applicants

D. No Need to upload Photograph and Signature.

Irrespective of whether a candidate has qualified in one or two Test Papers, only one duly completed Admission Form should be submitted listing, in the option form, all the programmes at IITs (along with order of preferences) where the candidate is seeking admission.

The application fee for admission is Rs. 600/- for all and this amount has to be paid ONLINE only using credit card or debit card or netbanking. No challan payment is accepted. Additional charges pertaining to the mode of payment will be added up at the time of payment.

Any application which is incomplete in any respect and does not have the required valid documents will be summarily rejected. The Applicants must take care to fill in the details in the application form correctly and must upload the correct and valid documents.
